​My Relationship with Clay: A Love Story
I’m Jolene—bookstore manager turned mud-slinging pottery enthusiast, embracing the mess again after a 20-year hiatus. From my cozy home studio in Sudbury, ON, I hand-build one-of-a-kind clay creations that blend artistry with function—because beautiful things should also be useful!

The Journey
It all started with mud pies at age six and eventually led to a ceramics degree at the École des beaux-arts in Montreal (with a side of photography). After years of lugging pottery equipment through countless moves, I took a break for the practical world of books and business. Now retired, I’m back in the thick of clay, mess, and creativity—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Inspiration & Whimsy
My creative spark comes from the world outside my window: towering trees, wandering wildlife, and the magic of everyday moments. My granddaughters—currently obsessed with crystals and all things mystical—keep my imagination fresh and my artistic spirit alive.
At Cheeky Little Pot, every piece is hand-built, glazed, and kiln-fired with love (and food-safe glazes!). Each creation is meant to bring joy, encourage a hands-on experience, and remind you to embrace a little whimsy in life.

Achievements​

Juried Show: Timmins Art Museum.
Coiled piece took first place
Exhibition: Fusion, Toronto, Ontario. 
Hand-built piece displayed in gallery for a month.
Exhibition: Kirkland Lake, Ontario
​4 pieces chosen and displayed for 2 weeks.
