In case you were wondering, I've decided to update the daily picture on the January 1st blog post. I thought I'd keep the whole project together. I don't know if any of you have had a chance to take a look and see the updates. Any suggestions? What do you think so far? I appreciate any comments. Have you started a project of your own. Here's an easy one if you like to take pictures but don't want to get so involved.
Choose a subject in nature, like a tree in your back yard, take a picture of it from different angles and as the weather changes throughout the year, take more pictures of it. This could be for 4 seasons to see what the seasons do to the growth of the tree. It could last longer if you want to track its growth with the years. The subject could be your child or grandchild. This could be a monthly picture with a reference marker at the same spot every month to track the growth of the child. This project will help improve your photography as you look at the lighting and the poses as well as the background and composition. Don't forget to write what you've done and any feelings you have about the subject, the day you take it, your emotions, your thoughts. I have a friend who loves poetry and writes a small poem with each shoot. It's very cool! Have fun and I'll update again soon. See today's pic on the January 1st blog entry.... Enjoy the rest of your weekend! |
